My first guess would be no. While not completely related to your situation the link below shows what happens when you're trying to install fonts on an iOS device. You have to go through a few steps in order to accomplish it and I'd also guess that you can't include the fonts in the iOS app. Maybe as files in a container field which you then try to download to the device and install. Something tells me that the sandboxed nature of iOS will prevent this. Unless the devices are all centrally managed this may be a very difficult thing to accomplish, especially automatically.

I'd love to be proven wrong on this but from what I know about iOS I'd bet this is the case. You said you're using the SDK to create an app. Maybe there's something in Xcode that will let you install fonts without all of the Profile stuff.
That's what I was thinking, but this is the first time I've ever used Xcode, so I have no idea how I would do it.
