Are you using a variable to store the results of this calculation? If so, then the default is for it to be text. The dialog is merely telling you that. To make sure the type is properly cast, use GetAsNumber ( ).
Actually I'd made an error within another part of the script, but your point was a good reminder.
Much of the time you do not need to use get as number. If you use your variable in calculations with numeric operators, it will evaluate as a number.
But be careful of comparison operators such as < or >. These can be used to compare text or numeric values and then you will need the getasnumber function to get a result based on comparing numeric values.
