Anyone else seen this behavior? I want to make sure I'm not just "special" . Guess I'll do an OS tune up and see.

Thank you for your posts.
The black pop-ups was an infrequent Mac OS X 10.10 issue that was resolved in Mac OS X 10.11. A Refresh Window is the only workaround.
This issue with the Field Picker darkness/contract has been encountered by several other members on the forum. There have been a couple of System Preferences settings that have seemed to help:
In System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Display, try changing the options "Increase contrast" and/or "Reduce transparency".
Also, in System Preferences -> General, set Appearance to Blue.
Thanks for the workaround, but I hope Filemaker does not consider that the end.
Accessibility adjustments should only be needed by users who have accessibility problems in general. They should not be a substitute for correcting design mistakes in the user interface.
Forgot to finish:
They should not be a substitute for correcting design mistakes in the user interface because, not only because so many users have to figure out how to fix them, but when Accessibility is used, it affects everything on the computer, not just the one application.
We definitely do not consider this "the end". We are continuing to work with Apple for a resolution.
Thanks for the tip, although that last setting makes me shudder — I'm a Graphite kinda gal, through and through.
I do hope you folks abandon the (intentionally) dark on dark UI elements.
I don't remember who came up with that silly idea about changing display preferences as a work around to fit FMP and meanwhile getting blind and sick by the hole appearance.
I wouldn't blame FMI for this issue since this was introduced with a Mac OS update and NOT with a new FMP version.
But this recommendation won't help anybody
