I primarily use FileMaker Pro at work as a better spreadsheet tool. Where my co-workers use Excel, I use FMP. I have 5 files I open every morning. At the end of each day I trigger a script in one file, that runs a backup of each file then closes them. Twenty minutes after I walk out the files are copied to a secondary folder and closed down.
This morning when I ran the opening script, one of the files came up prompting for a password. These are stored on my local harddrive and I do not use passwords. I have NEVER assigned these files to a password. "BLANK" password did not work.
I tried the backup file, it opened properly. However, I am wondering what happened. If I had not had the backup, would I have been hosed? Very disconcerting. Especially since I had not used the file (although opened daily) for more than a week.
How are you doing the copying to the other drive?
