I need to display records from "product form" to fill in "sale transactions" form using foriegn key (ID) of product form. My user do not remember the IDs of products so it shows the second field (Product Name). But when select one from list, it insert only the ID. We required to insert and show the name of product. I found the solution in a youtube video. Copy the field of ID and choose Product Name from product form then overlap the ID field by this second created field Product Name. It looks like a trick. Is it a standard method in FMP to do this task or there is a script for it. In MS Access we can do it by creating a simple query for field source data and can display as many fields to select ID. Then in Format tab, we give the size 0" to ID field and some sizes to other field which need to display. Product Name field created separately and "Visible" property of ID field will be "No". So it was looks a standard method.
