Yes, but changing the font on windows may or may not change what you see on the mac, as you've already seen with the other direction.
There are a few variants of arial around in the wild, I would check To make sure that all of the variations (bold, condensed, etc..) are on all the machines.
And as always, you should have a reliable backup strategy to combat corruption that could come in any forms; rather than specific font/layout corruption.
Also, make sure you are saving font selections against your theme.
When you work in Layout-Mode and create changes to your Theme, always save your changes into your Theme and it will work on FMP13, FMP14 and FMP15. For your own developing, try to use one version of FileMaker, because if you do a function that only exist in FMP15 and try to use in FMP13, you will run into problem
I presently develop in v.13 and only test in v.14 and v.15.
Backups are done throughout the day, but corruption the of layout elements could become apparent much later.
I have bitten the bullet and so far so good.
