I want to insert a PDF in a container, but Insert PDF is greyed out (as is Insert QuickTime). Insert Picture, Sound and File are all available. FMP 12 with Win7.
I suggest you search on 'insert PDF' in the forum, there have been quite a number of previous postings. Solutions vary to installing the correct version of Adobe Reader, to launching Adobe Reader before FileMaker and setting the field to interactive content.
A quick search will display these earlier posts.
please check the Inspector>Data tab. If I select "Optimize for ... Interactive content", it shows; otherwise, it doesn't.
Thank you. Set interactive content was the solution.
This is true. In Windows 10, Adobe Reader must be open before FileMaker 15 is launched. After FileMaker 15 is running, Adobe Reader can be quit and FileMaker continues to offer the Insert PDF command, but it is unavailable if when FM15 is launched, Reader is not open.
