Shouldn't relationships "filter" what records are displayed?

     Hi,

I have a new table A with one field idf_b (to work as a foreign key to B) and another table B with one field id_b (its primary key auto generated serially).

I created a layout that includes a table occurrence of A and one of B and I expected  that the only records to be shown were those for which the relationship was true (i.e.  A.idf_b == B.id_b).

Instead it is showing me ALL records in B regardless of the existence of a corresponding foreign key in a A! This goes against my understanding of relationships!!

Is there a setting? How can I accomplish this??

Thanks,
