Google Maps stopped working on Windows PC's

I have a Web Viewer in a layout that displays directions between 2 points retrieved from from and to address fields on the same layout. It has been working fine for about a year, until I ran some updates on our Windows server and restarted everything last weekend. It stopped working for windows clients right after that. We are running Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter. And client machines are running Windows 8.1.

Now it is still working on Mac clients but not on Windows clients. On Windows clients it is initially blank and then after about 10 seconds it puts up an error saying:

"Internal Error: Missing Template ERR_CONNECT_FAIL"

Here is the code for my Web Viewer:

"http://local.google.com/maps?saddr=" & Trips::PickupAddress & "&daddr=" & Trips::DropoffAddress

I know there are much better more foolproof ways of integrating google maps, but this has been working fine for a long time, and we will probably not be using this solution for too much longer, so I would love to just get it back up and running quickly.

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you.
