don't have the dedicated article at hand but had the instructions to work out for what could be the cause of this (some Acrobat Reader Resources) downloaded. Had 1 customers with this occurrence and could work out with this:
FileMaker, Inc. is aware of an issue that replaces some fonts with an unreadable .TMP font comprised of symbols.
- Update to the latest version of Adobe Reader.
- Delete the Windows font cache at C:\Windows\System32\FNTCACHE.DAT and restart the machine.
- Delete the Adobe cache inside C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\acrord32_sbx\
- Use a zoom level other than 100%.
This has been a known issue for about a year now. Has any progress been made on it? Given it renders a solution unusable, at least temporarily, I would have thought it was quite serious. The workarounds sort of work, some of the time, but are certainly not a solution.
This has been a known issue for about a year now.
I've sent in reports regarding unexpected Font replace with FM12 first. Though this kind of bug is around for at least 4 Years!
I also had the same problem two times with FMP12, but not had the problem in FMP13, FMP14 before it happened in FMP15 now.
I was basing the 'known issue' on the creation date on the page TSPigeon linked to. A year for an 'official' issue, which is serious and for which there is no satisfactory workaound is a long time.
