If this is PC, try this first:
FileMaker, Inc. is aware of an issue that replaces some fonts with an unreadable .TMP font comprised of symbols.
- Update to the latest version of Adobe Reader.
- Delete the Windows font cache at C:\Windows\System32\FNTCACHE.DAT and restart the machine.
- Delete the Adobe cache inside C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\acrord32_sbx\
- Use a zoom level other than 100%.
Don't forget to shut down and restart your PC after workaround.
Sorry, in setting up the “issue”, I thought that I entered that I am on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010), using (macOS 10.12 (16A323))
Thank you for your posts.
This is definitely a font/memory issue. Quit FileMaker and reboot your computer. This should clear out any memory and font cache issues. Once restarted, launch FileMaker and open the database file. Does the issue still occur?
How do I recover my database? I am using a Mac.
