Can I open my dev subscription FTS Advanced 15 natively in iBooks instead of Preview?

I just got a developer subscription and would like to open my copy of FTS 15 Advanced in iBooks rather than as a pdf.  This way, my notes and highlights will persist across all my devices.  I put the pdf into my iBooks collection, but since it is a pdf, iBooks opens the file in Preview instead of allowing me to view/mark it up as a native iBooks file.

I downloaded the beginner training series directly from the iBook store, and that opens as an iBook, not a pdf.  FTS advanced is also available to download from the iBook store, but it's $19.99, and I have already paid the $99 subscription.

Is there a way to either get the download directly from iBook store at no additional cost (since I already paid) or convert the .pdf version to a version that iBooks will open natively?
