I'm working with Todd's "Master Detail 2.0" and would like to add a custom dialogue message if the Search results does not find a result. Attached is the script. Where should I place it specifically? Thanks.
Hard to say for sure, but most likely after you perform the quick find. You can check for error 401, and take the appropriate action(s).
It would be in one of the sub-scripts, since nothing of the script steps in your Screen shot said nothing about Get(FoundCount).
When you find your script you should have a
If (Get(Foundcount) = 0
Attached is the module template project. It looks like it all relates to zg_foundCount. When zg_foundCount is empty, a message should be triggered. HOWEVER, when no results match zg_founCount shows ALL records (number) instead of 0 or empty. Anyone understand that or what exactly is happening? If I could understand that, maybe I could modify the script to show the error message based on what is actually resulting?
zg_FoundCount is a Global Field that is set through a Script. You should not relay on that if you want to see if you have any records.
In your Layout Setup you can see that you use a lot of Triggers for this layout
Go through those script and try to understand what they are doing
