Gather a list of the OS version and hardware versions for the machines that work and don't work. Browser version. FileMaker version, etc. Look for patterns to see what may be the issue.
I have seen a few items that work correctly in FM15, but not in FM14...
Create a extra button near you have your Vimeo videos. At that button attach a script and ask users to click on it when they have black screen. That button should send you a email with users Privilege Set, FM version, Vimeo url and Operation System. This will give you a start of trying to figure out combination of above is causing problem

Followed your recommendation with a number of Macs and discovered any running Yosemite OSX 10.10.5 have this problem. I can now tell my clients how to solve their problem. Thanks so much for your help
Good to hear. Now that you mention that, we ran into a few problems with Yosemite and the Web Viewer also.
