Are you trying to open another window? I believe I've seen this error msg. if the call is not phrased correctly for I.E.

No new windows. I'm using AJAX to submit a call to a web API and just display the results in web viewer. I believe you are on the right track though. Everything I've been reading points to the difference between how FM uses Safari on Mac and IE on Win for the webViewer. I'm going to try 360 Works Web Assistant plugin.
I would not even attribute it to FM/Web Viewer. I've seen this with web sites and various different DB's. It was with a call to another window (and AJAX, in a way changes part of the current window). And everything worked fine on Mac (different browsers) but fail on I.E.

Also, make sure to include the doctype definition at the top of your HTML. IE is much more picky about this, and won't run certain stuff without it.
You and Beverly are correct. I have a sample file that I just ran in IE and Firefox natively. Both failed the same way. So I definitely need to adjust my code. Thanks for weighing in. I will post again when (hopefully) I find the issue.
