FileMaker Pro 14 Alternate Row Color - Not working?

    lindseym

First, I tried these two things, which at least told me how it should work:

      Filemake community:

      https://community.filemaker.com/thread/152433?q=FileMaker%20Pro%2014%20Alternate%20Row%20Color

      FileMaker, An Apply Subsidiary:

Simulate the appearance of green bar paper by alternating background colors in list view | FileMaker

      Here is my part definition:

( I have tried selecting one or the other as well for the row states)

I'm just using the brown till I figure this out.

Browse Mode: (Also for the life of me I can't get this view to look anything close to the print preview, which is fine because we always view the print.... but it drives me bonkers!)

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

There is a note at the bottom of the second link that reads: Note: Even-numbered records use the alternate background fill specified here. Odd-numbered records use the background fill specified for the body part object.

I through in a Get(recordnumber) into the mix to see if it needed it for reference--and nothing changed. FMP attached.

      Thanks!
