When FMS pauses a file it normally writes a entry in the FMS event log. Are there any? If so, what events surround it?
What OS is the FMS, if on Windows it's fairly straightforward to see if there are other non-FMS events in the same timespan?
Make absolutely sure that the machine or its hard disks are not going to sleep on the FMS machine, that will pause the files for sure.
Thanks Wim. No machines or hard drives going to sleep. Can't view the logs because I get the red spinning ball. FMS is on a machine running Mac OS 10.12.1. This has happened several times in the last week and never before. Nothing in the logs . . .
Wim. Just managed to check server events. Not only are ther no entries surrounding pause events. There are no pause events. Perhaps I need to restart the server machine.
It turns out when the FMS machine was upgraded to Sierra it reset the Energy Saver settings to defaults. Dumb! After setting them back to never sleep the issue has disappeared.
