How many records one table can hold ? Also , how many columns/fields we can create in FileMaker
More then you can create.
Columns are fields and rows are records in FileMaker
256 million total fields over life time of file.
64 quadrillion total records over life time of file.
I do not think you will reach that limit

Thank you, Peter, for pointing to the specs. We assume the current version on these kinds of questions.
The question (and comments) may need to turn OP to the caveats with too many columns/fields and/or how to optimize large data sets (rows/records).

Is it tested or not ? We have one table where there are 550 columns with 9718946 records. Whenever we searched any records with 5-7 fields then it's time to perform it.Index is already created on these fields
Those numbers comes straight out of FileMaker own knowledge base
550 columns. Ugh. Sounds like a serious design problem.
Divide your table into many tables and build relationship between each table. You should read free FileMaker Training Series
