In your Layout Setup your set Script Triggers for OnRecordLoad where you handle change of records
A two finger swipe to move from one record to another in your current found set does not require the use of any script trigger. Is that what you are trying to do?
Yes, that's my simple question...
Then combine our two responses. To move from record to record, do a two finger swipe. To perform a script when you do so, use the OnRecordLoad trigger.
Thank you both for your comments. It must be quite simple, but sorry, I think I've not enough knowledge to grasp it. In my opening script I have hide the status bar, because I won't user let create or delete a record, so my two finger swipe doesn't work here.
How then can I the write a script for the two finger swipe?
Do you want to move to a different record or create a new one?
What records are in your found set? If there is only one record, you have no record that you can go to via that gesture or any other method.
The two finger swipe definitely works and with the status tool bar hidden.
Here's one of my FM GO 15 iphone apps before I swiped:
I put two fingers on the screen swipe left to right and get:
Note the arrow keys at the bottom that I normally tap to move forward and back between the records in my current found set as it's more obvious than a two finger swipe. But the gesture does work in FM GO 15
On the iPhone, the database is only for reading (browsing pictures). I'd like the same functionality (swiping with two fingers) as is possible with the status bar shown, but I'd don't want the status bar itself, because there is the plus and minus for creating and deleting records.
Okay, that gives hope. Then there is something else not working in my layout probably.
Your content is interesting. I suppose there are a lot of records with questions and answers....
I'll try to figure out why I can't swipe...
The key first detail is: How many records are in your current found set? And might you be on the first or last record in that set?
If there is 1 or 0 records in your found set, there's nothing to swipe to. If you are on the first record, you can't get a left to right swipe to work because you don't have a previous record to go to. The reverse is the case if you are on the last record.
You may want to temporarily enable that tool bar to confirm what records are actually in your found set and which record is the current record.
And please note that you can have dozens of records in your table but only have 1 or even 0 records in your founjd set.
PS: I sometime set up a single finger swipe controlled scrolling of data by setting up a 3 panel slide control with the OnOjecteModify script trigger to produce the illusion of endlessly swiping through pictures, notes or other data. That's a lot more complex to set up than just using the built in two finger swipe gesture...
I agree with you, there must be something very simple which I can't see.
The answers to your questions:
- sure, there are more records. I've buttons for prev and next and they work perfectly.
- With the Get(TriggerGestureInfo) I've made a scripttrigger OnGestureTap and clicking with two fingers works also fine.
-But not just swiping.
In my layout I'm using a animations panel. Could this have an influence?
The strange thing is that in FM Pro (desktop) I do can swipe with two fingers in this iPhone layout...
