It would appear that there is a script running that performs a goto layout. When that script is run, it is interrupted by a validation error on a field (with a custom message), the validation on the field is something you must have created.
You could create a script that checks for errors and takes care of it get(lasterror) would be useful. It is also possible to include field checking within your script.
I think these are issues that you might be able to avoid by learning more about FileMaker - try looking at the FileMaker Training Series:
So what is your question? Both messages give some indication of what is wrong—trying to do something which Filemaker disallows (creating two fields with the same name, which is what the first message looks like); and coming across a broken script step (trying to go to a layout which has either been renamed or, more likely, deleted).
The first dialog is a validation error with a self-rolled error message.
trying to do something which Filemaker disallows (creating two fields with the same name, which is what the first message looks like)
You would see that inside the Manage Database dialog.
It seems a value is inserted in the course of a script, the validation fails, and clicking on OK will interrupt the script, gomtomthe field and wait for user to correct the value.
Solution: change the validation, or in the script make sure no entry is written that fails the validation. Probably. Hard to say without seeing the script, the field definition or knowing what the OP is trying to do.
your SQL pops out to me. Try changing Program::Name to Program.Name.
thank you david it works
