Is FileMaker Pro version 11 compatible with Windows 10?
Works OK on my windows laptop.
Thanks, I guess that's not the problem with our install. We are getting a message: "the file has been installed incorrectly or modified by another computer."
Tried reinstalling a couple of times. Not sure what the problem is.
Thank you for your post!
FileMaker Pro 11 is tested on Windows 10, you might see System Requirements for FileMaker Pro 11 and FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced. However, that doesn't mean it absolutely will not work -as philmodjunk experiences.
You might try:
1. Uninstall FileMaker Pro 11 (Control Panel > Programs and Features)
EDIT: On Windows, remove the FileMaker Folders located at:
2. Download a New Installer from your software download page (if possible)
3. Run the installer from the Root C:/ as Administrator
If you are unable to get this working you might look into FileMaker Pro 15; it is tested on Windows 10 and your FileMaker 11 Solution would convert to the new software.
I hope this helps!
Come to think of it, I had fmp 11 installed and then upgraded to Windows 10 so maybe its the installer that has the issue with Windows 10 rather than the FIlemaker application.
Thanks, I'll pass this information on to our tech folks.
As a point of info, we have many files in many locations running version 11 on (different versions of) Windows 10 and so far have had no problems. That includes installs of Win 10 then FM, and FM on Win 7 then upgraded to Win 10.
Thanks! I guess that is not the problem so, it is now up to the techs to
I was hoping that I was wrong in my speculation.
