build a solution and ask questions here.
lynda.com has a some good videos.
take the starter solutions apart.
look at the websites for large development orgs as they usually have great blog posts.
Check out kevin franks website.
Try to find a local users group.
go to Devcon

in my opinion, the fastest way to learn is to start a project and use reliable resources (like the FTSA, FM Help, and this forum) to guide you along. I prefer non-practical, fun solutions for my introductory projects - for example, I recreated the game MineSweeper in Access when I was learning that software. Regular readers are tired of this, but here's a project I did for fun: Surrender to Fun, with FileMaker
