    Adding records to a filtered portal

      If you have a portal set up to display information filtered by date (specifically, Person_Attendance, where the user inputs the starting and ending date for the range for which they want to view attendance history), can you also use that portal to add/create records?

       

      I have "Allow the creation of records" in the Attendance table "via this relationship" checked in the Relationships graph, but no "blank record" appears at the bottom of my portal, as I would expect, awaiting input. I'm thinking this is because the date filter pre-empts the creation of any new record...it is reading the Attendance table and returning an historical set of records, so by definition it can't display (or accommodate) a record that doesn't exist yet?

       

      Am I getting this right? Any workaround?
