External container Storage on Network Attached Storage NAS

Hi Community

Has anyone successfully been able to manage external storage for a container field on a NAS - Network Attached Storage?

I have been trying to figure out the correct way of doing it and just placing the correct NAS path does not work properly. Getting the correct path is one issue and the second one might actually be harder to deal with... having the correct credentials to use a folder on the NAS.

As it is now, every user needs to have a username and password to access the NAS.

The Mac Mini running FMS15 has proper access to the NAS and that particular folder where I plan to save container field data (all PDF files). This MacMini running FMS15 is not used by anyone at all. It serves as a filemaker server only - that is it.

Any feedback will be appreciated.
