You can use several different plugins to write directly into a Excel spreadsheet.
Thanks for your reply. Actually I am making some reports in filemaker which can save as PDF but my clients wants exactly in excel. Client wants to change some data, he can only do in excel. How to do ?
Then I suggest you create a layout in list mode and have your user log in with FileMaker WebDirect. Then they can look at love data and do changes in your data
If you mean you would export (or save) as Excel and they would make changes to come back into FileMaker. Then you can export the primary key field/column. You must be assured that they do not change this in any way. Any other changes can be imported back into FileMaker as an update by matching the key field.
Not elegant and likely prone to many errors.

If you create a tab separated, or if you need more formatting an html file using a looping script
and export that with a .xls or .xlsx extension it will open in Excel,
char(9) & char(9) & char(9) & table::name & char(13) &
& char(9) & char(9) & char(9) & table::address & char(13)
& char(9) & char(9) & char(9) & table::zip & " " & table::city & " " &table::state & char(13)
& char(9) & "Qty" & char(9) & "Description" & char(9) & "Price" & char(9) & "Total" & char(13)
& char(9) & table::qty & char(9) & table::description & char(9) & table::price & char(9) & table::total & char(13)
