Issues: FMS 15 XML Publishing URLS in Safari(Mac & iOS)

    NateBrock73072

      My current environment:

      FileMaker Server 15 Version 15.0.3.308

      Windows 2012 R2

      Two-Machine Deployment

      Basic Authentication for XML

      Browsers Tested On:

      Firefox(Mac) 50.1.0

      IE 11 (Windows Server 2012 R2)

Google Chrome (Mac) 55.0.2883.95 (64 bit)

      Safari(Mac) 10.0.1

      Safari(iOS) on iOS Version 9.3.4 - iPhone 6S

Safari(iOS) on iOS Version 9.3.5 - iPod Touch 5th Gen

I have created some really basic statements to pass into the web browser to get XMLRESULTSET data.

      I have tried both 80 and 443.

      Examples:

      http://192.168.14.16/fmi/xml/FMPXMLRESULT.xml?-db=MobileTerm&-lay=Data&-findall

      https://192.168.14.16/fmi/xml/fmresultset.xml?-db=MobileTermin&-layoutnames

The only browser that will run any of my XML URL Queries at all is Firefox. All the other browsers will ask to authenticate with a username and password but will not load any data. Just a white blank page. Also these browsers will not run a XML pre.script like before.

I have checked security settings, cookies, web app date, cache, popup window blocking, but Firefox is the only browser willing to work with FMS 15 XML publishing.

Does anyone have any advice to offer on this topic, I really need the XML publishing to work with all these browsers?

      Thanks,

      Nate

what's your SSL certificate situation on the server. Anything?

With other browsers asking for authentication I think you should look into identifying what is causing that to pop up.

Also, since that's a 192.168 IP it seems off to me. Is that the browser's IP listed in the filemaker control panel under the "web server" section? Sometimes that may have a different IP address depending on deployment.

A blank page is still something being returned, have you used the dev tools in those browsers to see if any error messages are displayed in any of the tabs tracked?

Lastly, it may serve well to read through the 15 guide and see if there are any steps you may have missed:
