January 2017 FMPUG - Naming Conventions

    Extensitech

      Description

Chris Cain will be presenting about the use of naming conventions. This session will NOT advocate for a single naming convention but rather focus on the purposes of a naming convention and considerations when coming up with one's own naming convention or when considering adoption of someone else's. We'll review some different naming conventions and attendees are encouraged to bring their own to talk about what works and what doesn't.

      Please RSVP by emailing wjackson@extensitech.com.

I bet that there is some lively discussions on this.  I see most developers tend to favor a certain flavor which almost becomes a finger print of their development work.  But it sounds like a good opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of different methods.  Or just to note that following even one bad standard is better than a bunch of random naming conventions for tables, fields, layouts, scripts, etc.
