I then down loaded a pro10 again and same results.
What exactly do you mean by "downloaded"?
Does that mean that you re-installed FMP 10?
If not, you might try uninstalling FMP 10 and then re-installing it. (IMO there's an old, undocumented bug where FMP 10 has trouble with managing Windows on a Windows system and re-installing clears up the problem for a while.)
I'm pretty sure there is an invisible folder/file in the FMS 10 folder. And that it can become corrupted. The problem I had only went away after uninstalling, deleting the FMS folder, and reinstalling.
BE SURE TO MOVE YOUR DATABASES AND BACKUPS BEFORE DELETING IT!
