Run a database program exclusively from an I-pad?

I produced a FMC-11 database runtime on my MacBook Pro for gym teachers to enter various fitness scores for their students and later produce a printed report.  I can create a thumb drive and transfer this program with an empty student database to MacBooks at other schools, but I'd like to keep pace with technology and be able to transfer the program to I-pads and other mobile devices--but I don't want the mobile devices to be tied to a MackBook.  To maintain student confidentiality, we can't upload databases to the internet.  Are there available answers, or should I stick with the MackBook Pro self-contained version I've already produced?  (I also have it on PC).  Rich Blizzard
