Maybe different versions of IOS behaving differently?
That was my thought, but comparing iOS versions revealed that we were both using 10.2.
But maybe their version of FM GO 15 hadn't been updated where mine is...
Here's a bit more info.
When I test this on my iPad, tapping the download link produces this screen:
When they tapped the link, they got:
Tapping "open in" opens a list with a few apps, but FileMaker Go isn't in the list.
Doing a "tap and hold" on the link in their email would then produce the same image that I get without the tap and hold and they can then open the file in FM GO.
Is the google drive app installed on both iPads? Not sure if this matters but it might make a difference.
Thanks, It's not on mine (where this works) and is on theirs (as they use it to send me the file in the first place).
Time to add an app and test....
And Google Drive was the culprit.
Since I didn't have this app installed, the link to drive defaults automatically to Safari. But if you have Drive Installed it can default to a screen where the user is unable to Select FileMaker Go for the file. It's a bit quirky as sometimes I get this screen and sometimes not.
But "Tap and Hold" pops up a menu where you can pick "open in Safari" and then this doesn't happen.
