Hello! I am fairly new to FileMaker. I've used it for a few years, but never building from the ground up. I'm trying to create an app for company travel, but adding flights to the Travel Memo is giving me headaches. I've been watching Lynda.com videos to get a better handle on relationships and building relational databases, but it's still giving me trouble.
Here's what I would like the Travel Memo to be like:
Employee name, department, and position (from an employee list).
Car service to the airport.
Flight information (departing, layover if needed, arrival). <--This is my biggest problem. I cannot figure out how to make flight information into a one-to-many relationship. Each memo may have multiple flights (ex: 1/21/17 - CLE--BOS--LAX, return 1/30/17 LAX--ORD--CLE).
Car service from the airport.
I've attached a working outline as well.
Right now I have each of these as tables. Perhaps they would be better served as scripts or lists? I'm not versed enough in FileMaker to decide that right now.
