Is the column in excel formatted for time? FileMaker time is natively stored as HH:MM:SS, so your excel should match that.
In FileMaker, when you DISPLAY the field on a layout you can transform the visual format to MM:SS using the inspector, data tab, and field formatting options at the bottom of that tab.
An alternative to reading Excel file with FileMaker's functions is to use the MBS Plugin.
Our XL functions give you more flexibility
You can anything, but you have to write scripts which loop over the rows and cells to move the values you need into records.
The Excel TIME function:
The decimal number returned by TIME is a value ranging from 0 (zero) to 0.99988426, representing the times from 0:00:00 (12:00:00 AM) to 23:59:59 (11:59:59 P.M.).
The FileMaker time (as number) is:
0 - 86,399 // seconds = (60x60x24)-1
could your "time" field be formatted as TimeStamp (date and time) or as number or another format that prevents the correct format upon import?
do you have the ability to make another column (in Excel) that gives you the text version of 24 time? it may import into your FM time field better.
Hi! Thanks for you answers.
I managed the problem. I found the possibility in formatting the exc. field "customized format"(in the bottom of the list) and it said pling:)
