A bit short on detail. Any recent changes that might have prompted this? Modification to the layout? Recently added data? Printer driver update? Other?
Keywords, the reason my post seems short on detail is there are no additional details. No layout changes, no data changes and no changes to propinter driver. Nothing.
Printer driver I meant.
A crash report is always a detail, an additional one.
I had the same issue: when entering preview mode, sorted records and sub summaries, it crashed FileMaker.
It happened to be a corrupted Helvetica Neue used in those layouts. Replaced the font (all elements one by one...no comments) and the problem was gone.
I noticed that it also affected when I copied/pasted elements with that corrupted font.

Perhaps you should change the theme? "used it for years" implies that you are using the now deprecated classic theme for the layouts.
Yes Siplus. Next time I will get the report. Hasn't happened in a few days now.
when it happens while printing:
- fonts, try with another font, make a copy an trash half of the layout elements, test. If ok, it was something in that deleted half.. (etc, )
- corrupt layout element
Do You still have FMA14 installed, a version prior to 14.06? Does that one crash as well?
Even if Recover reported "No Problems", it still pays to search the Recover Log for anything "changed", or any "difference" other than zero
While changes to "data" are considered "Problems", changes to "Structure" may not be
> I need to print regularly, FMPA will crash. Recover has found no corruption
Layout Corruption is often missed by recover from what I've seen.
It's not unheard of for a file with a hidden issue to function without any observed problems for years only to have issues when OS or app version is changed.
