I keep getting an error message stating "you are not allowed to create or update this content". Anybody know why?
if this message is coming from a filemaker solution then somewhere in the solution there is a script that is detecting a condition and presenting you with this custom message
no, this is an error message that I’m getting from Filemaker Community when I’m trying to post a question.

Yet you were able to post a question just now. Any idea as to what is different this time around?
TSGal would be a good person to contact for assistance on this and this would be a something better posted to FeedBack.
I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM TSGAL SO I POSTED IT IN A DIFFERENT PLACE IN A DIFFERENT WAY. OR IT MAY BE THE SAME PLACE BUT I JUST GOT TO IT FROM A DIFFERENT WAY. I GUESS FROM NOW ON I WILL JUST POST THIS WAY.
But please don't "shout" by putting your post in all caps like this when you do so. A TS person such as TSGal can investigate whether your account has issues where we cannot.
The thing is, you are posting your question to discussions as you should so it's hard to say what you are doing differently now than what you did before when you got that error message--it may even have been a "glitch" in the website's underlying software or you may have been unexpectedly logged out. If it happens again, check to see if the control to log in has appeared at the top of the page.
sorry i truly don’t mean to “SHOUT”. In my work, i have to have the CAPS on and I forget to turn it off when typing.
it may be the "space/place". Posting a question to Discussions is the proper place for the most people.
If you have problems/ideas with this forum's software, then The specified item was not found. is the proper place.
TSGal, TSDiva or tsplatypus may be able to help if you have a problem with a particular space/place.
You are correct.
allows posting for only people certified.
There was some other places for only "place member", but now I can't find it.
correct! you can "follow" (read), but you cannot post if your not certified.

Thank you for your post!
Can you please let me know where you are when receiving this error?
As philmodjunk mentioned, you were able to post to the Discussions Space here.
As beverly user19752 mentioned, some spaces have certain requirements.
I look forward to your response.
I do think it was just a case of being at the wrong place when trying to post a question even though that’s exactly how I had posted a question before. I know the correct way to do it now I think.
Thanks for your response!!
