You don't have regular backups?
Do you have backups you can go to?
If not, try to run the 'recover' command on a copy of the files (keep the originals!)
the other database was our job list (and doesn't work).
Can you describe the 'does not work'? What kind of errors?
I got it to work. Thanks!
I presume you don't have a backup !!
In any case, have you tried, "Recover". Under "File" Menu, at the bottom. It may allow you to recover the data, and might help for what to fix, or redo the data base and transfer the data to it. Read up about file Recover, and corresponding warnings on to use or not.
It maybe wise to create a script that automatically creates / saves a file copy, every 30 days or as desired, with a name such as Backup_filename.fmp12. It can be set to run OnFirstWindowOpen (File, File Options…, Script Triggers).
The script captures current date, and an initial date (in perhaps a global field), subtracts and when < then 0, create the copy / Backup file, and resets the initial date [ 30 - ( Table::Initial_Date - Table::current_Date ].
