No such "simple method" exists.
Depends entirely on the level of complexity of your system of files.
Years ago there was a tool named "FMrobot" (https://www.newmillennium.com/fmrobot/) that would do a lot of the heavy lifting. Since FM has a lot of that now built in I doubt the tool will still work.
Keep in mind though that a single-file solution is not necessarily the best way to go. There are many factors that I would consider, including backup/restore efficiency especially if you have many tables and some of them are big but don't change much.

I would say the Geist Interactive Checklist covers the most of it. In case you have to import records from the multi file solution, put import order of tables in a chronological order according to your relationship structure.
This just reminds me of that monster script I wrote to update existing customers:
1. convert 23 files from .fp7 to .fmp12 protocol
2. Import all records from those converted files into 1 UserDataFile
I was testing the script over a period of 6 weeks.
At the end, you would install the new version on your customers computer, click the button [Update], cross your fingers, save some prayers and wait up to 50 minutes until the script finished successfully.
Setting the sequence of the tables import into right order was a big challenge.
For a last advice:
