Assuming this was just cross-posted to the facebook group as well?
If there is an answer on FB then folks here might want to know in case they have the same questions. Maybe post the final answer here?

It is new with FileMaker Cloud as opposed to FileMaker Server where it's optional. FileMaker Inc. is letting you "borrow" a trial certificate for 90 days. It's outlined in their setup guide that you should install your own certificate before the 90 day mark to avoid issues.
As for accessing it now that it has already expired, you just have to use the direct instance IP address or the amazon internal DNS address instead of the filemaker-cloud.com<https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Ffilemaker-cloud.com%2F&h=ATO04yMDG6-nLOa2ydBrmCUZ6IysLtTzfw7oSJfTS-D99PCSB2KxDEhRUOwa9aqHQqwO8-3uZDSZfFDvmkqqwDWeXqrk1qo2ch-8m2nXEujZkN4Fk2n6XjbjV-0A42_XCdwKsrVM1Q> address.
Follow this guide for setting up your security:
BTW, check your amazon account under AWS to find your instance address details.
yeah, most SSL vendors want a domain name to go with the certificate so that they're not serving a certificate to a server that could be hosting thousands of sites.
What is the Facebook group in question, for reference?
