Hello, I am new to Filemaker and trying to use it to keep track of my finances. I have one problem and one question. Problem: I created a simple database with a table for expenses and one for revenue. After I entered most of my 2016 expenses, I used Leading Subtotals/Total to add together all the amounts. So far so good. But now I want to enter in some additional expenses, and even though I unchecked Leading Subtotals/Total, it still won't let me enter anything in that column anymore. Whenever I try, it says "This action cannot be performed because this field is not modifiable." How can I fix this? Question: do you think iI should start new tables for my 2017 expenses and income, or is it ok to keep using the same tables? Each item has a date of course. Thank you for your help!!
