We are in the middle of converting our FM 12 databases to FM 15. We had the following observations:
1. When some Mac were upgraded from 10.10 or 10.11 to 10.12, the objects on some layouts of their database shifted out of their places on FM12.
2. On the same Mac OS 10.10, when we open a FM 12 database in FM15, we saw similar shifting of objects on some layouts.
3. We have already known that there is a discrepancy of layout between Mac and PC.
We wanted to upgrade from FM 12 to FM 15 and upgrade OS from 10.10 or 10.11 to 10.12. Does it have something to do with the theme feature? The shifting is widespread and it will take a long time to get all the layout back to normal on the new OS 10.12. Has anyone experienced similar things? What is a good strategy to deal with it? Is there a way to solve this efficiently? Any suggestions or insights are appreciated.
If you have FMP Advanced, try making DDR on both files then compare them.
There was bug on FMS that replace fonts on layout, but your problem seem not related to FMS.
