Not really familiar with the issue, but I would experiment with different web browsers first, then in filemaker, different themes, fonts and font sizes. It would seem to me that the size allocated to the portal renders differently on the browser than within FM
Thanks for your reply.
Other browser do not make a difference. However, if I change the theme the portal shows 7,5 row in the client as well. After correcting the height, there is no problem anymore.
Using my custom theme, the problem dissappears if I remove the lines between the portal rows (for primary and alternate). I use alternating rows with different colour.
Is it not possible to have lines between them?
An suggestions how I can fix this without ditching my custom theme?
Unless you could take a look at the CSS that filemaker css (there is mention of a tool to do this here:
Tools to analyze FileMaker Solutions ) and hopefully understand it and find a reason for the issue, then it might be a case of process of elimination -
different portal sizes, anchor points on object re-sizing (especially the portal), fonts, portal row height and so on...
Theme would have been my suggestion to check. If you have a fix with another theme, I would study what settings are used for that portal in the "good" theme and compare to your portal in the custom theme. Font or other differences that could be used with your theme and still be ok?
In other themes it can be recreated as well.
As soon as I add a line for primary row and/or alternating row, the portal shows half a row too much in Webdirect.
If you want to,you can check this in my example file.

I am able to reproduce the issue with your file. I created my own file, and the issue also occurs. The issue appears to be bottom borders (and top borders) in WebDirect reducing the portal row size. I have sent your post along with my findings and a sample file to our Development and Testing departments for review. When I receive any feedback, I will let you know.
Our Testing department is able to reproduce the issue with FileMaker Server 14 using Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
I was able to replicate the issue using FileMaker Server 15.0.3.
For completeness, what version of FileMaker Server are you using?
Thank you for your replies!
I am using 220.127.116.11.
