Costumers or Customers?
Or are your customers costumers?
I mean, my family company has around 200 customers. Just tried to mention the scale of the business. Sorry for misspell.
What were the key decision factors to consider FileMaker for this?
Are you planning to use the iOS SDK, or have the customers use FileMaker Go, or use WebDirect?
iOS SDK and easy to use for customers are the main reasons.

You mention two different groups of people: 15 users who have 200 customers. In the above answer you mention 'ease of use for customers'. Are the actual 200 customers going to use this new app? Or just the 15 people at the company?
Are the users going to be always connected to the hosted files on FileMaker Server or work in standalone mode and occasionally sync their data back to the server?
Reason for asking is that:
- when you design for FileMaker Go you have to explicitly do so, there are things that don't work in FM Go like they do in FM Pro
- designing for 200 concurrent users is different than designing for 15 concurrent users. Both in architectural decisions and what kind of hardware deployment you need to look at.
Not trying to put up roadblocks here, just trying to get the lay of the land so that people can give you the best targeted pointers.
To get going with the FM platform in general, start with the FileMaker Training Series, Advanced: FileMaker Training Series | FileMaker
