Check that the IP address of the machine has not changed. Sometimes it gets reassigned.
My bet is that the machine is entering cpu sleep. Set the power options to "never".
True that, because the computer that hosts FileMaker was not assigned a static/fix ip.
But even when I updated the ip info for other user's on their FileMaker subscription, it still won't connect.
However, thank you for the reply.
Have you tried File>Open Remote? Any different result that way? Is sharing still turned on?
what do you mean by 2 in 1?
Oops I meant all in one desktop.
So I just called customer support and after they checked my ip, they stated something along the line that the port is not opened for forwarding. But the inbound rules created for FileMaker in windows firewall was never touched even when I created a new solution.
Due to connection failing all of a sudden, I am unsure where the problem is.
When I try to File> Open Remote, the favorite host would always state "Connection Failed".
As for when I attempt to File>Open Recent on this computer that had access before this issue would not state "The file xx could not be opened. Either the host is not available, or the file is not available on that host."
