of course, anything can be done in FileMaker... question is, is it the right tool for the job?
take a look at something I put together some years ago...
That is awesome, something like that would be great. I could use one calendar to and turn clients on or off and see clearly what's been added and where spaces are.
how do I do that?
I spent a long time working this out... then took a look at some other calendar solutions out there... felt like my solution could not really compete. You might want to google search for calendar solutions for filemaker or take a look at filemaker's website for solutions made for filemaker..
thanks for showing me what is possible, I really was setting my sights too low. I have now found a couple of how too's on the web which I'll try out.

As you see, there are several possibilities to build a Calendar, it's worth to consider wether to build from scratch or buy a solution. Take your effort needed to build and compare with prices with some ready-made solutions.
I've built a Calendar myself 10 years back with FM9 with a crosstable and more than a dozen TO's when no such solution existed. I would choose to buy a solution if I had to make decision today.
This is one "ready-made" solution I can recommend:
I know there are at least one or two other fine solutions I hope some colleagues will mention here
ditto. I also have 'calendar' solutions. If what the client needs is what can be purchased, I go there! If what the client needs is NOT in anything commercially available, I have to go back and do what needs to be done.
In addition to the link to seedcode, you can search for 'calendar' on this forum and see plenty of suggestions.
