You could have simply replied to the previous question. The Advanced editor allows you to attach a file to a reply.
The Manufacturer file was not included so we cannot see how that table is designed.
This looks like a simple summary report with the body layout part removed.
Define a summary field that computes the total of Dollar_val
Set up a list view summary report with a sub summary part "when sorted by" manufacturer.
Put the summary field and the manufacturer field in the sub summary part.
Remove the body layout part.
Find the records you want for your report and sort them by manufacturer
Looks like you should establish a working relationship with an experienced developer.

After speaking with my client this afternoon and doing a "show & tell"
they are exceeding happy with my progress thus far. I guess it'll be a
matter of solving each problem as it presents itself.
