Evaluate Date based on a Global Year

Good Morning,

Trying to do something I would think is fairly simple but can't seem to get it to work. I have a field called plan_warehouse_date which is a full date (1/1/2017) and am creating a report where the user will search with one of the criteria being a year (2017).

So I created a calculated field in the table with the plan_warehouse_date field and am just trying to evaluate the two, so that I can perform a find where that is true.

I don't think you can script a find to do that, which is why I was creating a calculated field to do so. I know plan_warehouse_date = Globals::Year won't work but does anyone know a specified calculation that would work?

My script for the onobjectmodify looks like this:

and I wanted to make that perform find pull based on the field "Status_Report_by_Season" which would be the calculation I'm asking about above.

Thanks for any insights anyone can provide, I feel like it's convoluted but the only way I can think of to make this happen.
