If ( not IsEmpty ( B_LAST_BACKUP ) And Get ( CurrentDate ) ≥ B_LAST_BACKUP; "ok"; "")
The value should be empty or past date, so do you really need current date?
If ( IsEmpty ( B_LAST_BACKUP ) ; " " ; "ok" )
Get(CurrentDate) will always be greater than or equal to the B_Last_Backup since the last back up is a past event and not something that happens in the future.
i dont need exactly the current date, updated my post , but for example:
now thinking i created current_year and current month and for my backups i created
month_lbackup and month_ybackup where month_ybackup is the year from my last backup.
this will be introduced in january row
If ( month_LBackup and month_YBackup ≥ 1 and AÑO ACTUAL; "ok"; "0")
It sure sounds like a pain and involves manually updating a database. I personally use FM backups and then have a backup program copy the files to the remote location. Be sure not to backup live FM files that are open. That can corrupt them. Only copy backups. I'm a Mac guy, so I use Carbon Copy Cloner to sync backups to the Amazon Cloud and it works pretty well. I just set it and it runs each evening and only copies files that have changed. But there are lots of other backup programs that do this type of syncing, especially in the Windows world.
To me it sounds like you may need to think through your backup strategies.
hi, im using carbon copy on my machine, then i backup another 17 machines to mine, then on filemaker i created my simple control where i can see how much days has been passed from my last backup, then in my work some girl need my document where i list machines from the last month with updated backup from the month. then if she say "give me it" i will print with a simple click my document every month. im doing this because i think filemaker system can work to control my work and me
