We are upgrading to Office 365 and are currently using Filemaker 13. Users are experiencing issues with the send mail scripts. Are there any known issues and/or fixes?
Sounds like Office 365 includes a version of Outlook incompatible with FileMaker 13. The Outlook version probably wasn't available when FileMaker 13 came out so you'll probably need to downgrade Outlook or upgrade FileMaker.
We hare hoping an upgrade won't be needed at this time and that there is another option for us.
Here is the error message users are receiving when they attempt to run the email scripts:
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
I found this on the Microsoft web site:
It also could be an issue between 64 bit vs 32 bit. FileMaker 13 only runs in 32 bit.
Yes one of my clients had this exact same issue. ONLY solution was to upgrade FM. It's a government department, so there was no chance of downgrading their Office app. My testing spanned over a couple of months. Only to find no other way.
