Hardware - Dell Laptop (bought 2016) - memory 8GB 1600 MHZ, 1 Tb hard drive
Description - I use FMPro 12v4 for only a couple of client databases. The largest DB has around 1800 records and 14 linked files. Even in the smaller DB client files, when I use "find", "sort" or a script for a pre-set export, it just gives me the blue circle and says "not responding" at the top FileMaker Pro - (file name) (not responding). Nothing I do goes to the web or anything like that - I think how I use FMP is fairly simple. Any ideas why I get this sometimes long and frustrating "not responding" message? Thanks for any input and help.

FileMaker Pro 14 was the first version certified to run under Windows 10.
Does this issue occur under Windows 8 or Windows 7? Have you tried installing a trial version of FileMaker Pro 15 to see if the issue still occurs?
