I have an old Nutshell File that we have been using for years without updating. Is there a way to send it to Filemaker 12?
You'll need to export the data from Nutshell and then import it into FileMaker. Export in a format that FileMaker understands like Comma-Separated or Tab-Separated format.

For those interested in historical trivia, Nutshell is the "ancestor app" that became FileMaker. It's also the inspiration for the "Walnut shell boat" logo that appears when you open one of the Adventures in FileMaking files.

Yes, export data is what I would do, too, remember to add column names. I cannot remember if CSV allowed that back then. Maybe I would add some screen shots of what it looked like (if possible).
