We have a great client (Funnel Communications) that offers a complete suite of association management solutions for associations that need admin help. We provide backend programming services for them. They manage all their client data in Filemaker and wanted location information for one of their associations to interface with Google Maps on the web. So we did. Here's what it looks like:
For anyone interested, here's how it works. We use ColdFusion as the web application server for many of our clients (we really like it). ColdFusion polls Filemaker Server once an hour an updates an .xml file that the Google 3.0 maps API looks for. The location data populates really quickly, and Funnel is very happy with the result.
